What is a Contact lens?
Strabismus (Squint) is a vision disorder wherein there is problem with the alignment of the eyes and they point in different directions. It is a condition in which both eyes won’t align simultaneously under normal conditions. One or both of the eyes may turn in, out, up or down.
Contact lenses are excellent for sports and other physical activities. Many people feel they look better in contact lenses. Compared to eyeglasses, they may offer better, more natural sight. Unlike glasses, they do not fog up or get splattered by mud or rain.
How to Care for Your Lenses?
Contact lenses must be properly cleaned and disinfected when you remove them to kill germs and prevent infections Never reuse your contact lens solution Do not put your lens in your mouth and then in your eye Dispose of contact lens solution in the lens case after each use and let the case air dry.
Who are the Contact Lenses for the “Hard-to-Fit” Patient
  • Dry Eyes
  • Astigmatism
  • Unstable refraction
  • Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis (GPC)
  • Keratoconus
  • Pellucid Marginal Degeneration
  • Post-LASIK or other refractive surgery
  • Presbyopia (reduced near vision common in individuals aged 40 and over).
  • Corneal Scarring
Reasons to consider contact lenses
  • Contact lenses are excellent for sports and other physical activities.
  • Many people feel they look better in contact lenses.
  • Compared to eyeglasses, they may offer better, more natural sight.
  • Unlike glasses, they do not fog up or get splattered by mud or rain.
How long will the procedure take?
The procedure only takes around 15 minutes and involves placing a lens between a person’s iris and lens without damaging the corneal tissue.
When can I get back to work?
You can keep wearing contact lenses . If you are ill, temporarily stop wearing your contacts and use your glasses instead.
Is it necessary to undergo repeat procedure?

The short answer is no. You shouldn’t wear daily disposable contacts more than once. However, you can safely re-wear daily extended-use lenses for up to a month (or however long your optometrist recommends).

Will the Procedure hurt?

Contact lenses are never supposed to hurt. While there might be some getting used to them the first time you try contacts, the discomfort should go away pretty quickly. Contact lenses should feel natural and be unnoticeable throughout your day.

What are the risks?
Daily-wear lenses should never be worn as extended-wear lenses. Misuse can lead to temporary and potentially sight threatening damage to the cornea. People who wear any type of lens overnight have a greater chance of developing infections of the cornea. These infections are often due to poor cleaning and lens care. Improper over wearing of contact lenses can result in intolerance, leading to the inability to wear contact lenses.
Rigid gas-permeable or disposable lenses may be good choices for someone with allergies.
